I am Joe Wieland, owner and master mason of JW Masonry.  I’ve have been working masonry for 12 years.  In the twelve years I’ve worked for 4 different contractors, (Circle Masonry, Tangen Masonry, Buckley Masonry Inc., and Olheiser Masonry Inc.), thus I am a well rounded individual who has worked with many different people and seen many different situations.  I have been a bricklayer for 8½ years, 7 of which I have been a Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union member.  The Union sent me to school for training in January of 2002.  I completed 5 weeks worth of school in the first week and I completed a 12 week course in 5 weeks.

 

I have experience in bricklaying, blocklaying, retaining walls, laying pavers (patios, driveways, walkways, etc.), stucco, and some concrete.  I love what I do.  I have a college education (a Bachelor of Science degree as a Math major and Biology minor from Valley City State University) but chose to pursue a career in which I could see progress and beauty and feel a sense of accomplishment each and everyday.
